Who is the publisher?

Our books are published by The Pragmatic Programmers, LLC, under the imprint The Pragmatic Bookshelf.

Are your books available at Amazon, Borders, or Barnes and Noble?

Yes!

Our books are distributed to book stores world-wide courtesy of O’Reilly and Associates. Now you have a choice: you can buy books directly from our website or from your favorite local bookseller.

What are the official titles, ISBN numbers, etc.?

Have a look at the book’s catalog page on our web site. For an index of all titles, visit http://pragprog.com/titles

All of the Pragmatic Bookshelf publication citations are available as a Bibliography.bib file in BibTeX format.

Are images of your book covers available?

Yes! Again, visit the book home page. Clicking on a book’s cover image will take you to a larger version.

So, really, why are you doing this?

Because we can. We have the technology, we have the skill, and we have the loyal fans around the world who know they can count on us to deliver the goods: books that cut through the “party line” and deliver real value. We’re not beholden to a large conglomerate or staid publishing industry practices.

Folks have called what we’re doing “Agile Publishing,” and that’s part of our motivation. We can respond to our readers faster and with better quality than we could under more traditional arrangements.

In a way, we’re putting our money where our mouths are.

And so far, the results have been everything we’ve hoped for.
